The Softopper is so versatile; it’s become a permanent feature on my restomod. On sunny summer days, I have the sides and rear fully rolled up, and embrace that vintage, soft top canopy look. Rolling up the sides also comes in handy when picking up and loading things into the bed. I’ve picked up workbenches, lumber, tools all with the Softopper on still. I’ve gone on many road trips in my pickup since finishing the build – across the country and back in winter, through the Rocky Mountains, through the white mountains up north for camping in the rain – all equipped with my Softopper with the sides rolled down and fastened. It’s kept all my gear, tools and luggage completely dry on the thousands of miles I’ve put it through the test. In the warmer months it even makes for a great camping enclosure itself! It fits the bill in many ways. So long as Softopper keeps making the canopies for first gen pickups, I will continue to option them for all my future builds.
