2025 F150 Lightning

"The only minor annoyance is that we can't deploy the tailgate step making it pretty hard to get in and out with our 5 foot bed. But other than that, easy to deploy. Another minor note - we have guards on the edge of the wheel wells etc for the bungees, but I'm wondering if there's a better way to protect paint from scratches. The telescoping supports work great! We just ram them into the tailgate gap. Now that we have a system, with 2 people it takes like 3 minutes to deploy"

Tent attachment

"I just got back from a 6,000+ mile trip across country. The Softopper cap was amazing. Not a single problem for 2 weeks of travel. The tent attachment however was a waste of money. It was easy to setup and looked good, but there were a few gaps that allowed for bugs to enter. I adjusted everything possible but the gaps remained. I filled the gaps with various items and moved on. The next problem was the rain. A light rain may have been ok for a while but the steady rain came right through the material. The tailgate, our bedding, and our feet got completely soaked. The next few nights, it worked well until we encountered some gusty wind. After a lot of flapping, my adjustments tightened things up until a gust collapsed the whole structure. I have camped in rain and wind before and realize that nature happens, but this piece of equipment is not acceptable and not up to Softopper standards. Again, love the Softopper cap"

Softopper and Tent Combo

"Excellent value and for my solo camping the tent addition works very well on my Jeep Gladiator. Several camping trips have demonstrated the softopper as a good choice-I did go with twill fabric and tye optional ceiling pouch is a must have. I plan to add the metal rack sysytem which mounts over the softopper."

Perfect for camping!

"We love it. Works great for camping. Everything stays dry. Way too simple to use. No more heavy campers. Using the back of your pickup as your camper (for us) is the only way to go. It fits great and just happen to fit both of my pickups. Both trucks have the same size bed. It's rained many times on us while camping with the softopper and we've never had any problems. If you want to use it for camping the way we do you really need to buy the tent attachment also. Also putting on the softopper is very easy. I do it by myself with ease. Snapping it down for the first time can kind of be a pain though. I fits REAL TIGHT! but that's why it fits so good."

Nice addition for my K5

"Easy to setup and gives a lot more space. I had to make a filler element to bridge the gap between tailgate and bed otherwise it wouldn't be possible to use the tentpoles. Not a direct fit for K5s."

Camper top tent

"I love camping at the lake with the softopper and the camper top tent. Completely waterproof and so quick to set up! Thank you for all the options that softopper has. I also got the boot cover for when Im not camping. Makes the truck bed look super clean, and I can go through the car wash and put my dirt bike in the back. A hard shell bed camper Isn’t versatile and wouldn’t work with my needs. Thanks again!!"

What's the difference between midsize and Full Size
They are different sizes depending on which Softopper/Truck you have. Selecting the year, make, and model of your truck at the top of the website should prompt the website to generate the correct size for you. Will this work with a bestop soft top?
Yes, it will work with the Bestop Supertop. However, you will have to contact their customer service team to find out what size will work best for your vehicle.
Will the full sized tent fit a 2014 Toyotal Tundra?

Will this work with a conventional hard camper shell?
